In 1776, when 56 Founding Fathers signed the Declaration of Independence, they were serious about freedom. When they declared independence from the greatest military empire of that day, they knew it would be dangerous; they knew there would be a heavy price to pay—even possibly with their very lives…
“…….with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”
The Founding Fathers were willing to pay the price, whatever the cost—and many did. Carter Braxton lost his fortune and died in rags. “Honest John” Hart was driven from his dying wife’s beside by the British, his 13 children scattered and he ended up dying from a broken heart. The most inspiring story of sacrifice comes from Thomas Nelson, Jr; who had returned to Yorktown, Virginia to become Governor. General Cornwallis had taken over the beautiful Nelson home as his headquarters. The patriots were firing cannons all over Yorktown, but intentionally not firing on the home. He asked why and was told out of respect for him. He then proceeded to aim a cannon at his own home and fire the first shot. The home was completely destroyed by the time Cornwallis surrendered.
The courage and sacrifice of the Founding Fathers, along with many other patriotic Americans, is what gave us the nation we have today. It has been said that only 5% of the colonists took part in the Revolution. That small number made all the difference.
Throughout our 238-year history, sacrifice and courage has held this nation together. From a British invasion in 1812, through a civil war that threatened to split the nation, to the shores of Tripoli. Brave Americans have always stepped up to the challenge, no matter the political reason or danger. God has truly blessed this nation.
But now, in the year of our Lord 2014, there is a different atmosphere. Our nation has rejected God. Our nation has rejected the teachings of the Bible and the very foundation that made us strong. Our nation is destined for destruction.
Here in West Virginia, I am an independent candidate for the United States Senate. A very difficult task, to say the least. Yet, what makes it so, is the fact most people will not take three minutes and spend 50 cents to fight for liberty!
It takes just a few minutes to download, print, sign and mail a petition. A petition that only allows a candidate, like myself, the opportunity to fulfill my Constitutional right as a citizen—to run for office. That’s all it does. Signatures are required by the State, to prevent average citizens from holding office. It restricts the Constitutional Right of every West Virginia citizen. The Constitution does not require signatures. In fact, George Washington warned against political parties. Today, the main parties dictate policy in West Virginia and in Washington DC. If you elect a Democrat, they will vote with the Democratic Party. If the new senator is a Republican, they will vote with that Party. The people have no real voice. Well actually they do; they just refuse to use it! Instead, voters love to complain, “…all politicians are alike…” or “…nothing ever gets done.” But then they vote for the same career politicians, over and over. However, they refuse to even take three minutes and spend 50 cents to get a new person on the ballot.
This is why the Bible foretold that in the last days, a One-World Government would emerge. Taking the place of individual nations like, the United States, who once ruled the world as a superpower! The courage and willingness to sacrifice is gone in America. The end has come—and we allowed it to happen.
IT’S TIME to stop complaining in America. If you complain, but don’t vote, either start voting or stop complaining. If you vote, resolve to seek the best candidate and to help bring new candidates to the ballot. Strive to find the best candidate, based on the solutions they bring on issues. Vote for the candidate that reflects your values. Whatever you do, do not vote for the candidate that spends the most money! Unless you want Congress to keep the government spending out of control. Instead of discouraging new candidates from running, voters should encourage them. Help them with petition signatures, yard signs and social media posts. The people of America had better wake up and get involved before, it is too late. I ask you to:
- Pledge your sacred honor, today.
- Pledge your life to making America a better place.
- Pledge your money, to help the right candidate get elected.
The return you receive will be great! But if you don’t, expect to lose your rights, your money and—as America disintegrates into a meaningless page into history—your very honor.
The future of America depends on you. Pray God will have mercy on His people and heal our land. My campaign may be ending soon, but there are many other good citizens out there, ready to lead the charge. Encourage them. Support them and vote for them. These are the days to be courageous, bold and faithful.
